GTA has had a car radio since 1997. Vice City's isn't on the air yet, so here's what the trailers let slip and what's still unconfirmed.
In GTA, you pick the station and a fictional DJ picks the songs. The series has worked that way since the first game in 1997: you get in a car, turn on the radio and let someone else set the pace of the drive.
No GTA 6 station has been announced yet. On September 17, 2026, though, Rockstar made an album official: 34 original tracks, six of them already streaming, out November 19 with the game.
On September 17, 2026, two days after the artist visuals, Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album on its Newswire. The studio calls it the official soundtrack album, created in partnership with Atlantic Records, launching November 19 alongside the game.
The album has 34 original tracks that, in Rockstar's words, capture the electric energy of Vice City and Leonida. The first six singles have been out since September 17 on all major streaming services:
Pre-save for the album is open on the same services. Limited-edition vinyl and CD sets are up for pre-order, with three exclusives sold only at gtavi-thealbum.com: a limited-edition liquid-filled vinyl, a splatter-edition vinyl and a CD jewel case.
Exclusive vinyl colorways, each with new art, are also listed at Blood Records, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, Urban Outfitters and indie retailers. Rockstar doesn't say which of them ship to which countries.

An album isn't a radio, and Rockstar hasn't detailed what will play on the game's stations. The studio says more is coming on the music of GTA VI, including the dynamic score and the next evolution of in-game radio, with no date attached.
On the evening of September 15, 2026 (Paris time), about ten artists posted new GTA VI-style visuals at the same time, all on Instagram except Morgan Wallen, who posted on X. Rockstar didn't repost any of them on its own accounts that night. Two days later, its Newswire listed the album's first six singles, and every one of those artists is on them.
VICE, NME, ComicBook, Rockstar Actu and Journal du Geek named the same artists: Travis Scott, Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones, Future (via the account of his label, Freebandz), Metro Boomin, Yung Lean, Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso. Some outlets counted only eight or nine.
Between them, the artists posted six visuals:
Travis Scott tagged Rockstar Games in his Instagram post. His caption opens with "Phase 1," announces "NOW ITS TIME" and includes the line "MY RETURN TO GAME." Further down comes a string of letters, "J… O. H," then "to be continued."
ComicBook and Journal du Geek read those letters as Jack of Hearts, the strip club glimpsed in a GTA 6 trailer. NME reports the same theory, which it credits to many fans. Neither Travis Scott nor Rockstar has confirmed it, and the September 17 Newswire post doesn't mention it.
"Phase 1" and "to be continued" pointed to more announcements. The album is one, but the Newswire doesn't tie those words to it.
As for the artists, the count checks out: all ten names the press cited are on the six singles, with Future and Metro Boomin featured on Yung Lean's track. Their place on the album is confirmed; nothing says yet whether these tracks will play on in-game radio, in a mission or elsewhere.
Trailer 1 opens with Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road," which lays a melancholy, all-American mood over the first shots of Vice City. Rockstar cut Trailer 2 to the Pointer Sisters' "Hot Together," a more upbeat track that runs under the action scenes and the shots of Jason and Lucia as a pair. Both songs are identified in the official trailers, and both are editing choices. Rockstar hasn't announced either one as part of an in-game station or the final soundtrack, so until Rockstar Newswire addresses the point, we treat them as trailer picks, not in-game confirmations.
Across 15 years of Rockstar trailers, the song behind a reveal hasn't necessarily made the final cut, and the finished games have shipped with tracks no trailer ever hinted at. In the GTA 6 trailers, sound does as much to define Vice City as the evening light or the film grain. None of it got there by accident.
A Phil Collins track plays in the August 27 Extended Look; Rockstar has not said whether it will be on the soundtrack or the in-game radio. Phil Collins' "Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)" plays over an elevator scene in the demo, a nod to his cameo in GTA Vice City Stories (2006), where he played himself. According to the gaming press, the Extended Look references Phil Collins in two separate moments. The demo also features other tracks, including songs by Sexyy Red and Depeche Mode. As with Trailers 1 and 2, nothing indicates yet whether they're one-off editing choices or songs headed for a radio station in the finished game. According to the press, the scene nods to his cameo in GTA Vice City Stories (2006); Rockstar has not commented on it.
Phil Collins, Sexyy Red and Depeche Mode are not among the album's six singles. Only six of the 34 tracks are out, so there's nothing to conclude from that.
Radio has been part of GTA since the first game in 1997: several stations, each with its own genre and often its own DJ. GTA Vice City went further, with a soundtrack built as an all-out tribute to the 1980s. GTA V, released in 2013, carried 17 radio stations, music and satirical talk shows combined, and that number is still the benchmark for sizing up a GTA lineup.
The stations are there to give every part of the map its own sound and to keep the ride from turning into a loading screen in disguise. This new Vice City inherits that tradition, and no station count has leaked yet. The series' history makes a deep lineup a reasonable bet, but anyone quoting a number today is guessing.
As of today, nothing confirms:
Since September 17, Rockstar has communicated about the album through a Newswire post, six singles and the vinyl and CD formats, but it hasn't detailed in-game radio or the dynamic score. The track lists making the rounds on forums cite no source: only the six singles in the Newswire post count. We'll update this page as soon as there's another official announcement.
Vice City's radio still has no name.
November 19 does. Digital pre-orders are open on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store (79.99 EUR for the Standard). The box is unavailable on Amazon.fr as of October 3, 2026.

Six tracks from the album are already streaming. Vice City's radio will have to wait for the game itself. Until then, get the headset right: one that can tell ambient chatter from a club bass line leaking out of a bar door. The GTA 6 gaming setup guide breaks down the headsets we recommend for that kind of detail.
GTA 6 releases November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Preorders are open. Reserve your copy now.
No. Rockstar hasn't published an official list of GTA 6 radio stations. The series has had a lineup of stations since the first GTA in 1997, so their presence would fit its history, but Rockstar hasn't given a single station name or count so far. On September 17, 2026, Rockstar announced a 34-track album and said more is coming on the next evolution of in-game radio, without giving any details.
Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is the official soundtrack album, created with Atlantic Records and announced by Rockstar on September 17, 2026. It has 34 original tracks and comes out November 19, alongside the game. Six singles have been streaming since the announcement, pre-save is open, and limited-edition vinyl and CD sets are up for pre-order, including three exclusives at gtavi-thealbum.com. An album isn't the game's radio: Rockstar hasn't yet detailed what will play on its stations.
Trailer 1 uses Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road" and Trailer 2 uses the Pointer Sisters' "Hot Together." Both are editing choices identified in the official trailers. Rockstar hasn't confirmed that either song will be on the soundtrack or on a radio station when the game launches.
GTA V, released in 2013, carried 17 radio stations, music and talk shows combined. It's the number most often cited when people try to picture a GTA 6 lineup, but it doesn't apply to the new game.
Partly. A Phil Collins track can be heard in the Extended Look Rockstar aired on August 27, 2026, with a nod to his cameo in GTA Vice City Stories (2006). On September 17, 2026, Rockstar's Newswire listed the first six singles from GTA VI: The Album, by Yung Lean (feat. Future & Metro Boomin), Travis Scott, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso (with PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy), Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro and Keith Richards. Those artists are confirmed on the album, but Rockstar hasn't said which tracks will play on the game's radio. No DJ or radio host has been announced. Any list that doesn't come from Rockstar Newswire or the @RockstarGames account remains unconfirmed.
On the album, yes. As for the game itself, Rockstar hasn't said. Its September 17, 2026, Newswire post credits Travis Scott on RHYNO (prod. by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo), one of the first six singles from GTA VI: The Album, out November 19 alongside the game. On September 15, Travis Scott had posted a GTA VI-style visual on Instagram and tagged Rockstar Games. His caption opens with "Phase 1" and includes the line "MY RETURN TO GAME." ComicBook reads that caption as a nod to Jack of Hearts, the strip club glimpsed in a GTA 6 trailer. NME reports the same theory and credits it to many fans. The Newswire post doesn't mention it.
