The DualSense is the only one of the two controllers with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. The PlayStation Store listing for GTA 6 says vibration and trigger effects are supported; Rockstar does not detail how they are used. The base PS5 is also the only configuration analysed so far: 1440p scaled to 4K, 30 fps (Digital Foundry analysis).

The display: where it all happens
On a base PS5, Digital Foundry reports 1440p rendering scaled to 4K, at 30 frames per second. A 4K TV or monitor shows that image at its native definition; its refresh rate (60 or 120Hz) does not change the game's own frame rate. HDR, panel size and display latency matter more.
Digital Foundry concludes the game targets 30 fps, so a 60Hz panel should not be a bottleneck. An entry-level 4K TV is enough if you play on the couch at normal distance.

The headset: audio immersion
On sound, Rockstar has announced an official album of 34 original tracks, due November 19 alongside the game, and promised more details on the music, including the in-game radio (Newswire of September 17, 2026). Nothing has been announced on 3D audio. A spatial audio headset remains a comfort: it places sounds in space, and only you can judge whether that is worth the price.
