Two editions, not three

Rockstar has announced two editions: Standard, digital or in a box containing a download code, and Ultimate. There is no collector edition of the game, although a collector's box of merchandise does exist: see below.

The box holds no disc: it is a code in the box, a download code in retail packaging. Rockstar makes it available from November 12 to support preloading, the same day digital pre-orders open for preloading.

The Ultimate Edition: what you get

$20 more than the Standard. Rockstar describes a collection of vehicles, weapons, apparel and action threaded through Jason and Lucia's story, with new items uncovered behind each chapter. What it buys:

Vehicles

• '95 Grotti Cheetah: classic sports car with a retro-futuristic livery, available later in the story.
• Dinka Enduro motorcycle + Crest kayak: Jason's safehouse vehicles.
• Vapid Ganado modkit: Jason's low-riding pickup, customized.
• Shitzu Squalo: boat.
• '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy + Paradise Garage at Watson Bay.

Weapons

• Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers: the signature pair.
• Personalized variants of Jason's Girardi ES9 and Lucia's Klose K17 pistols.

Exclusive shops

• Rideout Customs and One-Eyed Willie's: vehicle customization. Rideout Customs covers interiors, rims and donk styling; One-Eyed Willie's (Lake Leonida) does off-road modifications and hand-painted artistry.
• Sara's Unisex Salon: salon styles for Jason and Lucia, including facial hair for Jason and makeup and nails for Lucia.
• Stock 305: streetwear in Stockyard.
• Electric Fang Tattoo: over 50 tattoos for Jason and Lucia.

All five shops only open with the Ultimate Edition. Content confirmed by Rockstar.

Additional content

• Exclusive outfits and tattoos for Jason and Lucia, and Goodtime Gear: a capsule collection of apparel and accessories inspired by Macca the Gator, a character from a hit TV show in Leonida.
• Classic Car Collection special commission: track down abandoned classic cars and unfinished project cars.
• The PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store gang compound: a raid on the base of a Southside Vice City gang, then a getaway, to score special items and contraband.

How Many Preorders Has GTA 6 Already Sold?

Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has published a preorder figure. The analytics firm Sensor Tower, which tracks digital game sales, estimates GTA 6 had crossed 4.3 million preorders by August 18, 2026, worth roughly $429 million in combined revenue. This site could not verify those estimates, relayed by rockstarmag.fr.

The same estimates put 89% of preorders on the Ultimate, against 11% for Standard. The table above breaks down what that $20 gap buys.

The Vintage Vice City Pack, included with pre-orders and purchases

According to Rockstar, all GTA VI pre-orders and purchases before November 20, 2026 include the pack. Not exclusive to Ultimate: Standard gets it too. Digital pre-orders also include a free month of GTA+.

• '55 Vapid Stanier: a classic sedan, stored in the Shore Court garage just by Ocean Beach, with a weapon locker and a secure place to deposit stolen goods.
• Outfits and hairstyles: a vintage pastel linen suit for Jason, a red sequin mini dress and curls for Lucia.
• Tropical weapon pattern inspired by Tommy Vercetti's palm tree button-up, for most guns.

The collector's box: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection

On September 24, 2026, Rockstar introduced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, a box of collectibles inspired by Macca the Gator, a character from a hit TV show in Leonida.

The limited-edition box arrives on November 19 and can be pre-ordered on the Rockstar Store (store.rockstargames.com) while supplies last. The game is sold separately. Rockstar says details on pre-ordering in Asia, Latin America and Australia will follow.

Preload November 12, release November 19

Digital preload opens November 12, 2026, one week before release. Seven days for the file to land on your console, ready to play on the 19th. Preloading applies to digital pre-orders; the box, with its code, is available from November 12 for the same reason. Rockstar has published no install size.

Release is set for November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the French PlayStation Store listing carries a PS5 Pro optimization label. No PS4, Xbox One or PC version has been announced, and Rockstar has not published an unlock time.

Where to pre-order

Digital pre-orders are open on the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store; Rockstar points to rockstargames.com/VI to pre-order. On the boxed side, the three Amazon.fr listings are unavailable as of October 3, 2026, with no restock date, while the Amazon.com PS5 listing shows a Pre-order now button at $79.99 (details). Instant Gaming lists the PS5 version at 62.99 EUR, but pre-orders there are unavailable (e-mail alert). Other retailers were not re-checked: check the listing when you order.

Boxed or digital, the calendar is the same: preload from November 12, release on the 19th.
